Trailer Lug Nut Torque?
 

What should I torque steel trailer wheels to? 14" inch using the 13/16 wrench size lug nut.

Stop 1/4 turn before they break. ;)

I always thought the torque was more to do with the preventing from warping the hubs, more so than the wheels.

Following the same logic I replaced all four tires. Had two flats in 100 miles. Tires looked good, just not enough tread to protect from small debris getting lodged in the carcass. Right now I have them at 110 and that seems about tight with a breaker bar.

Got to take a 35 Lightning out a few times recently, got me thinking! Just not sure I can take the gas bill, the blower is bad enough. Had you ever found an easy way to change the oil in the blower without removing it? Last time I dropped the belt and spun it by hand while adding more oil. Sort of hoped to mix it up and flush it out. Though crossed my mind of warming it with a heat gun and making an attempt at sucking it out with a shop vac. That would make a real mess of the hose and the vac would stink forever! Seems like a real pain to take it off and turn it upside down just to change the oil.

My Eagle with al wheels requires 100#lbs.

I thought the single blower was bad on fuel, the twins are a bit thirstier. Guess the days of $20/weekend for fuel are over with.

Since was always piddling on something, the blower was off alot. So just used that time to change the oil.

Make sure to re-torque/ck your lugs after 25-50miles. My sled trailer lug nuts came loose and wrecked the rim as I forgot to re-torque.
