42' Tiger with 1,000 HP Motors

I have a question for the tech guys...
My friend Tim just bought a 1999 42' Cigarette Tiger (Non-stepped).
Previous owner was running 90mph with 900 Merc Poker Run motors---on it's best day, it ran 92-93mph.

Tim had the motors rebuilt to 1,000HP and the boat ran 92-93mph with the tabs way up. You pretty much have to run this boat using some tab to keep the nose down. Then you have to put the starboard tab down even more because of the hook in the hull on that side. (confirmed the hook)
Shouldn't he get a little more speed out of this thing?

I am guessing he needs to re-prop the boat now--thoughts?

Ought to be well over 100 MPH if done right.
But at those speeds, does it really matter?
I think what's important is how it runs in the rough.
If he wants a drag-racer, get a cat.

jumping up in speed 90mph and above .it takes a lot to get 5mph or more at these speeds . try some differnt props. butyou must get rid of the hook . more power you ad the more the bow trys to go down.
