Now What?

Ok Guys I Just Put My Rebuilt Carb Back On My 454 Mag. She Started After A Few Cranks But Now She Only Will Stay Running At A High Rpm.......does The Carb Need To Be Retuned?

I Am A Newbie To All Of This.....so No I Did Not Set The Mixture. How Do I Go About Doing That? Thanks.

The 2 mixture screws in the front of the carb, Screw them in all the way and back each of them out about 4 turns. If you have a vacuum gauge hook it to direct manifold vacuum. Start the engine and slowly turn each one in till you notice a drop in vacuum. Turn it back out 1/2 turn. You may need to do this several times to each side to get the best mixture.
