cleaver props
what is there if anything to gain w/ cleaver style props, im curently running 30p bravo 1s would you run the same pitch w/ a clever prop.
thanks. |
Re: clever props
I do not think you will like the ride of the clevers if you like the ride of the bravos. Clevers will give the stern lift where as the bravos supply bow lift. Dwight

Re: clever props
Hmmm..."clever" props??...I wonder how they manage to spin...oh yeah..they are clever!
hahaha..just kidding...I am a spelling nut... The correct spelling is.... C L E A V E R :D :drink: |
Re: clever props
I was just thinking they were smart.

Re: clever props
The cleaver props are slow to plane, due to the thick trailing edge, this causes stern lift as well.,These props are basically outdated as the are low blade rake and are not very progressively pitched like a bravo or a mirage They are design to run piercing the surface creating good top end speeds,YOU WOULD PROBABLY NEED A PITCH LOWER than a stock b-one. just my 10 cents. :D

Re: clever props
Is'nt that a cleaver prop as Houston's avatar?
|
Re: clever props
Yep. had one on my 21 wellcraft.
Loved it. (Single 260 w/alpha) The stern lift was good, and it gave me an extra 400 rpm on the top end. Wasn't too bad getting on plane, but that was a 21' boat. Best prop I ever tried on that boat. |
Re: clever props
your x-dim is WAY too low...and your boat requires a lot of bow lift...come up 2" on the x and you could start playing with hydros and hering's..
