rebuilt a 82 26' scarab w/2 300hp mercs/bravoI outdrives . have had several problems along the way but at least i'm running. right now port engine is turning 4100 and starboard is turning 4400. had 28 4 blade props reduced to 27 and cupped. originally boat was set up w/ alpha drives. we went back to original holes and now mechanic says the new outdrives are longer than the alphas hence more drag. also when boat was first started there was water in my new 104 gallon gas tank. of course nooobody knows how it got there. it started then sputtered a bit we shut it down used another gas source and got them running. mechanic says injector may be fouled. he is going there first and then we will address props.my faith in this shop has been destroyed. if any of my oso brothers out ther could illuminate on my current perils it would be greatly appreciated. murder is not an option-----yet.
