500efi

ok, just got the new boat, today was the second time i could run the boat. the deal is that the port motor, after running wot the tak wanted to jump a little while the motor was running down. the motor has only 14hours and runs and sounds right. any reason this would happen. thanks in advance.

troutly, my 500efis are 2002, its the port tach. the motors only have like 10 hours on them. thanks scott

Sounds like a color-blind MULE wired it. :D ( :drink: )

Actually, it sounds like a short or a bad ground. I don't know how easy it would be to get to the wiring harnesses in the dash, but if it is easy enough, try switching at both the dash and the motor and see if you can get the tach anomaly to switch sides. Could be a start. :cool:
