Reckless32 - I'm curious as to his set up also - could he have shorty drives? here's a link to the article I have been referencing - I'm just confused how two identically equipped boats can differ that much in performance. (I'd be happy with that set up)

Call Fountain and give them the hull number and they will fax you the test sheet on the boat. That will show everything you need to know. It will have the props, drive ratio, X- demention, fuel load, temp, and other things. This will tell you what you are working with.

I just sold my 2004 35 Executioner and it had 32p bravo 1's and X drives and the ratio is 1.65. I also hit the rev limiter at 5300 rpm's at 80 mph. I was going to put 34 labbed bravo 1's on the boat but never got to it, sold the boat and bought a Cigarette.

1.65 drives seems to be the key to 78 mph at 5200,i still doubt your prop is slipping at 25% and that you have 1.5's, Smitty

We just found out his drives ARE 1.65.

This gives him a slip of 15%. I think 5B props may be one option to bring his slip number down and efficiency up.

1.65 ratio appears to have been the missing link. rjcardinal do you have a specific number to call for the spec sheet, or should he just try the phone tag/tree route? He has gotten 5 blade Hydro's to try this weekend.

Tricky, how does the 35 Cig stack up against the 35 Fountain?

Re: 35 Executioner w/ T-496HO's, Props??

It's really night and day. I liked the Fountain and really do not want to bad mouth the boat. The Cig fits me much better and runs the rough better. It really isn't fair to compare the two boats. New the cig is a more money. If you want to pm me i will discuss it further........
