hp500 remote oil filter and cooler ?
hey guys , i have an hp500 clone(gen 6) i am looking to add
the remote oil filter and oil cooler too. i bought an hp500 oil cooler, and the hp500 remote oil filter that mounts to the back of the head with all hoses. does anyone have a diagram, pic, or can explain how the oil hoses are routed for this set up? any help would be great !!! |

that site only showed a parts breakdown,it didnt show the routing of the lines unfortunately. i did figure out the set up i bought is from a mid 90s version of the hp500(carb). the oil filter bracket is mounted off the rear of the engine head. it looks to me all of the lines were upgraded as sutphen30 recommended.

Trash the stock merc oil lines for some good #10 stuff. Use the good aeroquip, earl's, ARP, etc fittings too. Flow and longevity. That's what makes boating an EVERY weekend sport. Unless you want to wrench all weekend. |

rotax, email me some info on the oil cooler chit, with some prices.... the motors ill pass on, im doin my own project now. its a great learning experience for me!! thanks though.
