Blower, innconnel exhaust valves, ss intake, quality head gaskets and keep the boost reasonable. Will work with cast rotating assembly too if all is tuned well. That is what I would do if I did it all over again...

Cast rotating assemblies seem to work well in these relatively low rpm perf marine engines when tuned properly. That is, correct carb setup, exhaust with no water, timing etc. There is little margin for error when using cast assemblies to make hp in a boat. Forged assemblies will live somewhat longer with suspect tuning, but will get the same result eventually. I never personally tried a blower/cast assembly setup, but have read of many favorable outcomes when tuned and run properly.
