Transom assembly wires??

At the bottom of my transom assembly I have two wires, orange and brown. I know they go to the mercathode.

At the top of the assembly there are two double stranded black wires with waterproof connectors on the ends. Does anybody know what they are for?

One set is for the trim position sender and the other is for the trim limit sender

Yep, many times they are either cut off short or just tied up if the boat uses mechanical indicators.
