2 Bolt or 4 Bolt mains??

Is there any way to tell besides dropping the pan to tell on a '88 7.4/330hp is a 2 or 4 bolt? The casting # is 14015445, other numbers on the back of the block: GM 2 P, 294, Hi Perf Pass, 3 H.

If not, I guess I'll be dropping the pan this weekend, since it's out of the boat...

Thanks-
Chris

mine say HI PERF and are 2 bolt. If I were going over 600hp I'd put some splayed caps on it. \ | | /

No way to tell on a 330 unless you look.

thats not the kiss of death by any means!!! the 2 bolt casting has more metal in it so if you rebiult it and put in splayed caps it supposed to be stonger than doign that to a stock 4 bolt.
