Magnesium anode for TRS
 

Hi

Where can i buy magnesium anodes for TRS drives?
I have a zink anode right now. And the drive corrodes much more than the anode itself. The boat is in water (freshwater) for 6 months per year, so drive corrosion is a big problem.

Haven't found any magnesium anode here in Sweden.

I buy mine at west marine or boatUS typically they both have them in stock and they both sell them online if you need to order them. The zinc anodes should work, their not as good as magnesium for fresh water but they will work, check and make sure the anodes are in good contact with the bare drive metal. I've seen a few boats that had their zinc's painted which pretty much makes them worthless :eek:
