low water pick ups

anyone out there have shortened drives with low water pick ups? i do and need to come up with a way to screen the water inlet.

I have an Imco 2" stub I only use the low waters for the superchiller though, My sea strainer w/ thru hull pickup for the motor picks up the grass, hardly any from L/W P/U

i macine the lower's. the 3/8 th or so , opening is opened to about3/4 of an inch. a screen is then made of stainless in the shape of a rectangle with two v groove s cut in it, if interested call me . 516 799 6029

I had low water pickups on my previous boat. A word of advise.... DO NOT get in to shallow areas! I stuffed mine with sand and it was a disaster to repair! My 2cents
