In the off season now and decided to do some water flow checking. Hillybilly 24 was right. The impeller was shot and found a bunch of junk pilled up at the entrance to the oil cooler (Impeller pieces, seaweed, small stick and a small rock!) Thanks for all the info . My problem should be cured :p

Great catch.....At least you still had water coming through. That could have been ugly. I had some blockage in the raw water pickups on the leg. My motor is on a closed cooling system but the exhaust is still raw water cooled. I melted a pinhole in one of my rubber elbows(starboard side). I'll be doing some investigating now that the off season is here. I already replaced the hose but I think gaskets will be next........
