Default What's the best way to seal block-off plates?

I have removed the bravo Y pipes and putting in block-off plates. Should I put some sealant around the O ring, 5200 or gasket stuff?

Thanks

Just a light dusting with grease on the oring will do.

And be sure to use the Mercury washers. They are much thicker than a stock washer. Myself I would use Loctite Blue if you are not in salt and have a dry bilge.
