Re: cam help: 502 with AFR 305cc heads
WAGS,
Just wanted to clarify----are you saying that your engine(s) were dyno tested with GIL exhaust manifolds/tailpipes??? Thanks |
Re: cam help: 502 with AFR 305cc heads
KAAMA, you got one of your noisemakers on the dyno yet? I been flying under the radar lately and haven't been around.

Re: cam help: 502 with AFR 305cc heads
Kamma,
yes we did run the Gil exhaust on the dyno, I have a set of dry "dyno" pipes to avoid the mess from all the water flying around. I had all the accesories running, sea pump, circulating pump, and alternator. I tried to duplicate the way it would be in the boat. I felt running headers would be a waste of time just to get a false and inflated number. Good luck with your project. Jeff |
Re: cam help: 502 with AFR 305cc heads
Jeff, congrats on completing the project. I guess you've paved the way once again :D
And just when we were getting close.............. Can't wait to see it perform this summer. Hope you can come over and check out the progress on the boat this weekend....we'll be living there for a while. |
