What type of water will you be running and how fast?

The 28 is the slowest and more stern heavy than the others because of the length. I have a 28 and if I bought another one, it would be a 30, but I boat on calm water most of the time.

There is a very nice 36 w/ 525HP's at Monster Marine. They are asking $200K. I also know of another 36 with 800 Teague's and B-max drives for the same price or less.

the 30 daytona is an all around awesome boat... very very fast hull... the newer 33 daytonas are also very nice, great in rough water, and i believe that they just re-tooled the deck on the 33 for 05'... but if it were me i'd go with the 30 if you're looking for overall performance.

as a matter of fact, we do have a 36 for sale the price is negotiable, and the 36 is great for big water. i ran a few rough water poker runs with it and it can hang. if interested give me a call, if a 36 isn't quite rite for you, i'm sure i can get you what you need. 30, 28 , what ever. 516-799-6029

I think all cats porous at some speed , when they are trying to get over the hump when the air is starting to lift the hull.I have heard its usually around 70mph?

I would get the 33 or 36 if ya can afford it .Whats the width of them and what about towing it,remember to ck insurance $$The 30 kinda looks short[stubby] to me,the 1/2 canopy do help the looks.

I Have a 1999 28 Daytona with twin HP500's and I bought the boat this past spring and it is in perfect condition in and out. I like the boat but it is a little slow. The 28 with 500s will only top out at 93-97 depending on the load. The best I have seen on GPS is 95. I here the 30 and the 33 is a faster bottom and I have spoken to eliminator directly and they will tell you that the 28 tall deck is an old bottom design. In my opinion if you can afford it go with the 30 or 33. The Brokerage shops got a sweet 30 with blown 500's and that amazing Mercury ITS boxes and drive set up. Here is the Link
