Source for replacement "J" Tube
Anyone have a source for J tubes? My daughter was moving some stuff around the garage and hit my new carb, it fell and cracked one of the tubes. I called 3 of the shops here in town and none had them. One said they could order one for $15.00, which seems expensive.

Hi,
A few years ago I got some from these guys http://www.marysvillemarine.com/ I don't recall how much they were though, seems like three or four dollars each. Rob |
Re: Source for replacement "J" Tube
If youre up against it use a small Dia copper pipe (heating system) and 90 degree fittings then bond it in.
Not an ideal match of metals, not an ideal solution but due to my UK location itwas that or what? Still working fine on that boat today. Steve |
Re: Source for replacement "J" Tube
I called Barry Grant today to find out if they could sell me a replacement, and explained what happened. They gave me the name of one of the shops that I called yesterday, I told them that they said they didn't stock them, BG contacted the local shop, and changed it free of charge. Seems that the BG & local shops do not want everyone to have these to convert auto carbs to marine look. Great customer service all around!

Re: Source for replacement "J" Tube
I bought some a few years ago from Marine Parts Source (866-388-0390)
They were Holley J Tubes, PN HY14R930. I think they were $5 each. |
