Tinkerer,I think the biggest difference is the extension box. With the shortie went up 2'' in pitch (31 bravo) 6100 rpm @84 mph = mega slip :(

The chine walk is not really an issue, it's very slight and only on smooth water. I was just wondering is if there was any speed to be gained. The best prop so far is a Rev 4, 23 p with a 1.36, tried a hydro 24, not any faster. Maybe a B1, 24 p.

My partner's 27 Fountain runs best with a Bravo 1. I know he tried a quad 4 hydro 25 pitch and lost speed and rpm. He says his boat runs best with a labbed 24 pitch, he tried my 26 pitch Bravo 1, gained a little speed but it takes an hour to get going. I know my 30 kachina runs like crap with that quad 4, thats why I tried to get him to buy it, no luck!!! It feels like my steering wheel has absolutely no resistance, almost like its not working, or working to good, the boat chine walks and feels real unstable above 70. I run a 28 pitch Bravo and it feels solid all the time, or I run a 26 Bravo when its 120 degrees in Havasu and it feels good as well.
