500 bull dogs motor

victory marine 500 bull dogs what do you guys think. has anyone put
anytime on a mercury racing 500 bulldog. any problems spring bind..etc.

The 500 bulldog is arguably the most reliable engine produced. If memory serves me correct, it is a 540 completely blueprinted with all high perf. goodies. Perfect as it sits or solid for big power upgrades. They were very expensive.

Bulldog was bulletproof. VERY VERY expensive.

The Bulldog is also a tall block, 540 c.i.d.

extremely overbuilt for a 500hp motor.
