Drive oil remote reservoir hose

I need to remove the drive and am not sure how the remote reservoir lube oil hose connects at the drive-to-transom housing assembly. How is the remote drive lube oil reservoir hose connected to the transom assembly and drive on a Bravo Drive?

Just pull the drive. The hose does not go thru the transom as 1 peice. Each 1/2 has a check ball to keep the fluid from running out. Just think of it as an autmatic quick disconnect. ;)

sounds like you never pulled your bravo off before. You will need to pull the drive out just enough to unclip the "catch" that holds the shift cable. Usually when you are doing this the check valve for the drive lube is still halfway open and you will start to loose fluid from the upper reseviour. Trick is to quickly unclip the cable and pull it back a little further to let the ball valve close.

Don't forget to remove the water pickup hose for your speedometer. You can reach it when the drive is in the "up" position from the back side.
