Polishing Aluminum diamond plate?

I have some aluminum diamond plate that oxidized in some spots that were exposed to air and water. What is the best way to bring the shine back? I tried some metal polish and a rag and it's not working too well.

Do i need a high speed wheel? do they sell them that have a 1/2 shank for an electric drill?

3M makes a good Aluminum polish and when you have it buffed out get some Sharkhide and put that on to protect the finish

Once you get it polished, have clear powder coated in a color to match whatever.
Looks beautiful and you just wash it after that :)

There are several item on today's market ,but the best is to rinse and wipe them down after each use.

or just send them in :D and we will polish them very cheap around 15.00 a blade.

if there is F.O.D. ON THEM (foreign object debris) nicks ,and deep scratches it would be a little more as sandingrebalancingand cupping work is required.

long story short though, it's damm hard to keep them looking nice.

They also make Stainless Steel polished Diamond plate. The 1/4" is heavier than the Aluminum. I would suggest the 1/8". Polished Aluminum & boating equals bad looks or a lot of work. I put everything stainless or paint it. Powder coating helps a lot but once it starts coming off is a bear to redo.

thanks for the offer Darin, but this is a large piece. It actually is used for the facing of the bar in my basement. I had it bent to take the shape of the foot step on the bottom so there would be no seams. while waiting to get it bent i left it on the back porch (covered) for about a month. when i took it to the bender i noticed it was oxidized from the air / rain. just want to brighten it up to original before i mount it.
