Default 4-blade bow lift

I'm going to a larger prop and am looking for a four blade prop with the most built in bow lift. I am considering a 26" Bravo 1 but have heard that a Hydromotive Q4X may have more lift. Not the standard Q4 that provides stern lift but the Q4X .

Does anyone have knowledge of which prop provides the most bow lift?

Your best bet is to call Julie at Throttle up they sell both and have a test program. They went with a tweaked 26" Bravo 1 for me because I needed bow lift.

I tried all three on my 22 for Checkmate. The QX-4 was definitely better for bow-lift than the earlier Hydro, but still was a couple mph slower at all rpms than the Bravo One.

I believe the Bravo One prop has more blade rake than either of the most popular Hydromotive four blades. The second generation Hydro four blade has more rake than the first. That may be a determining attribute in bow lift. The blade rake seems to be a key in leverage for the prop. Throttle up should be able to provide more technical answers.

Vegas Daytona,

I would recommend trying both the Bravo 1 and the Hydro Quad IVX. Since every boat responds differently to different props your boat like one more than the other. We have both of these prop available for testing, just give us a call and we can fix you up.

They are both great props. By running both of them you will be able to determine which works best for your application.
