I used imron on outdrives I had for 10 years. I kept it on a lift so it never sat in the water. It worked great.

If you let it set in the water for exteneded periods of time, especially very warm (August) water for a5-6 weeks it will come off in sheets.

Wow, I know someone who leaves an Imron painted boat in for 4 months at a time with no blisters.

What about just stripping them and leaving 'em bare like the new performance drives.

I kind'a like that look and I'm in fresh water so??????

I repainted mine with Chromaone last year. I lost some on the skegs from running through some sand, but above that looks great.

BTW, the Imron on my 89 Formula 272 looked great after 13 years, much better than the gelcoat, except where it was below the waterline.
