Yes, Jay Ross told me that the 35' Sonics and larger are a Jean-Claude Simon design and all the smaller sizes are that Performer/Donzi bottom with the round "keel" at the transom.

Boat with 3 people who have or had 26's.. a 98, 99 and an 03, they all porpoise and require a bunch of tab, they have a great cabin for their size. two w/ 502's run about 64-65 all day, 26sonic from the board has a few hop ups done to his 502 and said he sees 68 and in absolutely perfect conditions with light load and fuel he siad he flashed 70 once with a 3 blade... I personally would look for something in the 28-30 range.

Ever consider a 30' Superboat Y2k ? For a few grand more, you have a new boat with a 496 that does around 70. With the 496HO around 75.
