Antifouling Ssomething like it

Hi guys,
I looked about antifouling in the forum but not much info.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a product that has antifouling properties and it does not slow the boat down. I've heard stories that the speed can decrease by up to 7 knots with applying antifouling!
Any way I have found this product on the net called SAFEBOATSKIN http://www.hotribs.com/03press/129-s...boatskin01.gif I was wondering if any one has tried this product ever or if there another alternative. These guys also make another one called SAFEBOATSPEED that they calim decreases friction and increases speed up to 1.5 knots:)

Any info on either products much appreciated.

Thanks

You mus be kidding right? :)
Is £50 for a 475ml bottle i.e. $100 and treats up to 6 mtr hull. For more than that and up to 10 mtrs you need 2 bottles. That is a lot of money to spend for something that may not work

Yes it is clear. If you search for SAFEBOATSKIN or SAFEBOATSPEED you get a list of people who sell it and specs.

I'm probably the biggest sucker around regarding clear bottom coatings. I've tried a number of different waxes, coating, films etc. They all did not work.

Products I've tried :
Dolphinite go-fast bottom paint, clear. - Actually got Boat US to pay to remove this crap and apply a epoxy barrier coat afterwards. This stuff actually attracted stuff vs repeling it. It also peeled badly.

Aurora bottom wax or whatever it is called - no value.

Scatt - Actually worked better then the others above but still not worth much.

One other secret solution someone gave me. He wouldn't tell me what it was because the EPA would be upset. Tried it on a square foot section and it didn't work either.

Best solution I've found id to pull the boat and clean the bottom on a schedule based on water conditions.

What I've learned is there are a couple of manufacturers that sell this stuff and label it to your brand name. None of these companies could affort the R&D needed to create their own products.

Somebody has to be the guinea pig.
Maybe there is a review posted on the web somewhere..

There is some staff on the net but is all from manufacturers blowing their own trompet. Nothing impartial.
I thinkreading also Interseptor's post and since no one has actually tried this liquid I do not believe that any one has bought it so far (or very few have) and most probably I have to assume this will not work either.
So better stick with putting the boat in and out of the water :(

Thanks you saved me $200.00
