Speaker Wire, What Gauge To Use?

I am installing a new system in my 32 Fountain. I am using a Clarion CD head 208 watt unit with Sirius, 2 amps (1- 4 channel 1000 watt, and 1-2 channel 600 watts), 4- 8" Pioneer Nautica speakers in cockpit/deck, 2- 10" Clarion subs under rear bench, and 2-6.5" Pioneer Nautica speakers in the cabin.
What gauge speaker wire , and what gauge power wires should I run.
The system is going in the cabin, approx 15-20 ft of power wire run from the batteries.
Any suggestions on gauge and make of wire?

Re: Speaker Wire, What Gauge To Use?

Power wire I would run a min. of 4 ga up to the amps and ALSO back to the battery with your ground.

Speaker wire you are probably ok with 14 ga for your mids/highs and 12ga with your subs. I personally like to run tinned wire to help fight against corrosion.
