TRS or SSM II Speedmaster drives
Have a chance to get a couple of SSM II drives and my 38' boat now has TRS. The SSM's have 1:33 gears and I'm not sure what the TRS' have. Would it be worth changing and what could I expect both Pro and Con?
Thanks!!!!!!! |
Re: TRS or SSM II Speedmaster drives
You're going to go from hard to get parts to impossible to get parts. They'll look sweet though.

The Speedy II is about 2" longer than your TRS. The propshaft will then be too deep.
Also, there are no parts available for the Speemaster II. No gears, propshafts nothing. You want to increase perfomance, bolt on a pair of Konrad 540's (they are 1.6"shorter than your TRS) :D Kurt |
Re: TRS or SSM II Speedmaster drives
save your money the #2 are the same upper ( basically ) with speedy lowers . the whole thing not really any stronger than a bravo try KONRAD drives I am pretty sure the bolt on a trs gimble and are alot stronger

Re: TRS or SSM II Speedmaster drives
I can take a hint. Think I'll skip them. Ofcourse the Konrads are a ways off. Haven't had TRS troubles yet but since the II's were available thought I'd check in to it.
Thanks Guys!!! |
