Oil Pan- What Style???

The wife was kind enough to get me an oil pan for Christmas, unfortunately I think she made a big mistake. She ordered a Moroso #21610- 9qt box style Jet boat pan. It clears the sea water pump, but I'm hesitant about putting on my 540 that's being built. I call the place where she ordered it from, and instead of returning it to them they game me a big credit to keep it.

Should I sell it and get an "Off Shore" style pan, or can I run this pan.

Thanks

A T-pan is HIGHLY recommended for offshore stuff.

I don't know about the Moroso pan you have, but I used a Teague 10 quart pan on my new 540 I just completed.

Here's what it looks like. Looks like I'm going to sell it. Thanks
