Re: 1990 Baja 320

Depends on what you want from the boat. The 320 is more family oriented meaning it has a enclosed head Galley and more head room in the cuddy, and its not as sleek looking as the older force models.

I have a 87 force 320, that has alot more cockpit room than the 320 but not as nice of a cuddy.

In my opinion I think the older force 320 is a faster boat. The newer 320 I would think should run in the 63 to 66 mph range with stock power. I have gps'ed mine at 70, I'm running slightly modified 454 mags with stock exhaust.

I had a 1990 with 454 mags 23" labbed mirage props ran 68 mph loaded and 71 mph light on gps. Handled like a big runabout not the best in the real rough stuff. Great cabin for the size. Engines were a real pain to work on with the rear seat pushed as far back. Any other questions just ask.

Ok I Have Heard Some Negative About This Boat Now Can Someone Give Me Some Positive Boat Seems To Be A Very Nice Boat And Would Handle Rougher Water Better Than My Baja 252 .remember I'm Looking For A Good Family Boat Not A Race Boat. Thanks

i i agree with the other guy. the older the better. i have a 1985 force 320 that handles and runs awesome. oh ya its for sale on here... haha. but i do love the boat i am just looking to downsize to a 27 or 25. anybody have one? check out my boat, it is updated like crazy! Its cheep to. But again trying to sell my boat aside, I think this boat handles better then many other newer boats. It has the 454 mags with trs drives and it does about 64 on gps with 23P props at 4800 rps. I think i could turn some more rpms but i like how it flys out of the whole. It also doesn;t matter if there is 8 people with a full load of fuel it still does 60mph. oh ya check this out http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-5914.html

I looked at a 320ES also before I bought my 29 outlaw. I had a friend who had a 1990 320ES and it ran a consistant 68 with 454 mags. He had labbed 23 mirages on it. Good boat for the family, nice looking without the foward swept windshield. There are a ton of them on LOTO and I have seen them with everything from 454 mags to 800HP+ blower motors in them. Bob @ Big Thunder had one with 525scs in it and it ran 82 or so. It was a little bit of a handfull on the big end but still solid.
On the flip side Jimmy Lee (Freedom US1) had a 32 outlaw (Same as the 320 Force, 32 caliber ect. ) with 525scs in it and it was a 80mph boat. I believe the 320ES is a faster boat but it is smaller overall and will ride about the same in normal boating conditions.

Re: 1990 Baja 320

I have one myself, not for real long though. Mine has 454 mags stock and it runs about 70 gps. I have seen 73 in the right conditons with labbed 25 mirages. Lots of room in the cuddy but I wish it had more room in the cockpit. Horrible engine access unless you take out the rear seat/bulkhead which is kinda a pain. With the props turning in it gets real squirrely and isn't much faster. Rides good in the rough. I may sell mine for the right price. I would like something a lttile smaller.

(I just noticed this is an old thread someone dug up)
