Reclibrate ECU
I have a 454 mag EFI which I have changed the exhaust system from stock to Eddie marine thunder system and stock flame arrestor to a hardin marine XS serries. Do I need to have the ECU re-calibrarted, if so who would you recommend.

Re: Reclibrate ECU
I had the same motor with the same mods. I found that adding an adjustable fuel pressure regulator took care of the slight lean condition that the aftermarket exhaust caused. There is no need to re-map the ecu. Just bump up the fuel pressure a couple of pounds to about 43#. I also had an MSD6m-2.

You should not have to have your ECU recalibrated. If your transom had some black on it you should have a cleaner transom now. Murc builds these motors rich anyway.

I would call Mark at http://www.precisionmarine-efi.com/ and see if it needs a reprogram. He will be honest with you and helpful over the phone .
