What year did Mercruiser go from "v" to serpintine

I am considering a bigger procharger and was wondering what year they switched to the serpintine drive? Thanks Greg

Depends on the engine, but 97-98

My 1999 has the serpentine. 1996 the "V".
I'd like you to stop over to the garage sometime soon, got some questions on future upgrades.
Hope you survived the boat show bus trip!

I think it was 1997. By 1998 I think they all had serps. My 1997 had v's.

My 99 had small vees my 2000 has serp. 99 was carb 2000 efis.
