Bravo- engaging while in neutral

Bravo/Quicksilver 3000 Series remote (1995)

Fine at idle but when I push shift lever release button and idle up in neutral (with lever forward) drive engages in forward.
If I push shift lever release button and idle up toward reverse- no problems.

I've cleaned and greased the detent ball (rear cap of drive) and adjusted shift cables

Thanks

I think those were recalled for that problem. It is very dangerous and you need to get rid of it ASAP

You Need To Check Shifter Unit. ( Under Hatch) There Is A Plastic Set Gauge Too Set The Throw Disstance Correctley. It's Very Usefull When You Are Guessing At The Setting On The Shifting Unit.
