Krusin Kool Air Conditioner and genset
I'm interested in one of the portable Kruisin Kool a/c units. But, in the instructions it says that a 4000 watt genset would be needed. I didn't count on one that large. Anything like that is going to weigh at least 120 lbs. Does anyone have one of these that runs on a generator? Of so what do you use? Any opinions on it?
Thanks

Re: Krusin Kool Air Conditioner and genset
Re you looking for something specificly to run only when not underway?
Check out THIS. They manufacture says it'll drop temps to 65* quick. Of course it's engine driven so you'd not be able to run it constantly when not running. They use them in race boats (not sure who or where) to keep the cockpit cool prior to racing. They can install a togle to kill the compressor if you'd like when you need every last HP.
We saw them at the Dallas Boat show. Bob of Full Throttle Marine talked to the guy for while as he was interested for a couple of customers of his. His shop is there on the west end of Travis so it's not too terribly far from SA. Cost was very resonable compared to Gen and A/C too!!
