difference between 5.7 mpi and 350 mag?

are both of these engines tuned for 300hp at the prop or is there a difference in hp? Just trying to get a handle on these two engines for a repower. thanks

I beleive once you get to the Vortec engines, the only difference is the FI and cool name, "MAG". :D
