Prop ? Mirage vs. Laser II vs. Ballistic
I have a 95 2102 VIP Victory with a 350 Mag MPI and the 1.47? Alpha. I am currently running a Ballistic 21p and running at about 4950 wot. The Rpm is fine, but I need some more bow lift. I have a friend that is going to let me try his 21p Mirage in a couple of weeks. I was also wondering about a Laser II. What RPM do you think I would be running with the Laser II? Would I theoretically need a 23P on the Laser II since it is a smaller wheel? Any ideas?

Re: Prop ? Mirage vs. Laser II vs. Ballistic
anyone know about the laser? my Ballistic prop is a 14 3/8" wheel. What is the Mirage, Mirage plus, or the Laser II? I heard that the Laser II is a smaller diameter wheel, and I just figured that I could go up a size on that prop and keep the same RPM. Thanks, I'm not very familiar with props and their characteristics.

What about the revolution 4? Would I have to go to a 19 or lower to make this work? I found a 19P for $300. What would the benefits etc. be? Thanks for your knowledge. J.

Rev 4 gives a lot of stern lift. Not what you want for bow lift.
All Mirage Plus' I have seen have been between 14.5 and 14.75"
Try a 21" Mirage Plus. It most likely will be the fastest on top end.
A regular Mirage(older design) has less cupping than a Plus. It will turn about 200 rpms faster than a Plus at the same speed.
