OK, I present a challenge. I am attempting to add a gear lube monitor to my Alpha 1. I have the bottle, the hose, and no fitting for the outdrive. I want to make a custom Aeroquip hose primarily to use the bulkhead fitting instead of the cheese cover Merc supplies with this monitor kit. So, question is, where can I obtain a fitting to adapt the 3/8"-16 straight machine thread upper fill plug to an AN style Aeroquip connection? This is a rare size, and not a pipe (NPT) plug thread. It appears the Merc kit comes with a brass adapter. I can't find this adapter by itself or anything that will fit in it's place. Same as the gear lube change pump, it seals with an O ring or small fiber gasket. Banjo fitting of alumnum or stainless may work also if base washer is thick enough to stand out from the milled area. Thanks for your help. First person to locate the proper item gets a Wendy's combo. Thought I would try to reward the effort instead of just always asking. Please find the exact part, not just "Try Parker.com". What are you guys using for this fitting? Thanks again. Heck, we'll upgrade to 2 large pizzas and 12 cold ones if you can send me the part! Really? Tell me more about it. Is it brass, aluminum, or stainless? It converts 3/8"-16 straight machine thread to AN fitting? Is it right angle (not necessary). Lunch is yours if it truly fits. I would like to use -6AN, the larger the better since it is thick gear lube under no pressure only gravity feed. Where did you get it (don't worry, the food is yours), and what is it regularily for? I could not find it to save my life. Here is my work address:

The ones I have are made of mild steel but if you can wait a couple days i can get one in stainless, I ahve to order some other stuff tommorrow anyway. I get them from amazon hose and rubben in Orlando. but they are available through alot of vendors it can just be a pain to sort through the catalogs and find what you need you would be amazed at how many fittings there out therr threre must be millions. I can get it in a straight or a 90 wichever you like and 6AN would be the best bet any bigger and it would look odd. And I have all sorts of fun stuff on my truck if you or anyone else ever needs an odd fitting let me know and I will find it for you. I work for Wiggins Lift company, we make the marina forklifts that you see at marinas that have a dry stack. We use the fitting to come off of our pilot pressure valve body to convert from o-ring type to JIC or Areoquip.

Excellent! Wow amazing detail. Stainless would be great. I can wait it is 28F and snowing now here in MI. Do you have a PayPal account? I'll send you the funds for your food. If you could make it stainless, what would it take to get one straight and one 90 degree? If they are too expensive I'll just take straight. Don't know how 90 would fit unitl I tried it but would like to. Thakns bud. I appreicate your help. This was an impossible part to find. -6AN is great if you can get it. Let me know about the straight for sure and / or angle if possible. Stainless for sure.

straight should be like 4 bucks my cost and 90 will be like 6 my cost ill send both and you really dont have to worry about the food just remember me whn i need something that you can help with.
