Re: Fuel Filter/WaterSeperator
Sorry I don't. Just go to your local NAPA store. They actually have a marine catalog with tons of parts for Mercruiser Etc. While we're on this subject do you know how these filters work. They look like a plane old oil filter to me. How do they seperate the water and keep it out of the gas ? To be honest I don't even change mine every year. Everytime I do, when I empty it nothing comes out but gasoline !

Re: Fuel Filter/WaterSeperator
There are several flavors of those filters--you really need to get the part number that's printed on it to make sure everything is compatible. There are some higher end ones made by RACOR but they are usually used on higher end diesels and they have a glas or platic bowl that lets you actually see what's there. THe more usual ones look more like oil filters. West Marine has them too.
It's an issue here because we get condensation in the tank on the boat and the marina's get condensation int thier tanks. |
Re: Fuel Filter/WaterSeperator
Racor is one of the best but you cant put a plastic bowl on a inboard motor they are for O/B's and deisels only.

Re: Fuel Filter/WaterSeperator
Racor makes one with a metal bowl that is a direct replacement for the merc spin on. Racor is probably the best filter you will find. You can't use a plastic bowl as it doesn't meet coast guard specs for inboard gas engines.
