Re: Vinyl upholstery cleaner

Wesleys Bleach White. Rinse well with water, try to avoid stiching.

Mr. Clean Erasers - Excellent for tough spots that nothing else will clean.

Most dealers/mfgs recommend acetone and thinners.

There are safer, less aggressive cleaners out there available from any marine/auto store. These are for the really tough jobs.

Re: Vinyl upholstery cleaner

If Wesleys will work than how about Clorox cleaner with bleach. (not the actual Clorox bleach) The one that comes in a bottle like 409 or Fantastic. I found it works real well with a soft brush but stay away from your carpet.

Most grocery stores,Walmart and I think home depot carry the erasers. You should pick up a couple and try them around the house...they are awesome.

Softscrub with bleach works well on most stains and is easy to control where you want it.
Mr. Eraser works well for the tougher stains or marks.

Zippo Lighter Fluid Is Good To Remove Spots/grease Etc. Use On A Small Area To Remove The Spot, Rinse With Soap And Water Then Use A Protectant With Av Protection.

Re: Vinyl upholstery cleaner

I use Clorox cleaner with bleach. 6 yrs and no problems with the stitching. Spray it on, scrub a little to get superclean and dry with towel.

I've tried everything. Meguiers is the best by far.

Re: Vinyl upholstery cleaner

Before you try anything harsh, try Murphy's Oil Soap. It has worked well for me and should not hrm fabric or stitching. If that does not work you haven't ruined anything and can try something else.

I had a boat with a mostly white interior that had mildewed some. I used Full Timer's Choice R.V. black streak remover. It worked EXCELLENT!!! It also cleans the hull very well..

You can get it pretty cheap at wal-mart in their automotive/rv section.

For heavy cleaning, fantastic to Simple Green. Both remove light mildew without bleach.

Light cleaning and keeping it soft, Meguires Vinyl Cleaner and Conditioner and Wax Frenzy's Vinyl product (just started using last year and its outstanding!).
