What effect does changing CG have on perf?

I have calculated some rather astounding numbers concerning CG shift on my 24' cat with twin 300 outboards set back 17.5". Before I let you in on the numbers I would like to verify 2 things: (all engineers verify reslults thru test)

1) What changes did you see when you put ballast (and how much?) in your bow?

2) What changes did you see when you reduced or increased your setback?

I am after less bow rise during acceleration, slower planing speed, better handling throughout the low and mid bands of speed, and am sacrificing top end to do this (I have lots of that!). Sacreligious some may say but I have to keep the wife happy and after running the over the hub race cleavers she is not. However after talking to Throttle-up this will be solved with the new thru-hub Quad IV props.

I am a pilot and so am very familiar in the ways to calculate CG.

By the way could someone tell me how to delete old threads I have started that are no longer relevant?

Thanks, TJ
