Red Line makes perfomance marine manifolds for SB fords look like hell and only come in raw aluminum but work pretty well I think we saw 17 HP out of them if I remember right on a stock VP Ford. If you polish and anodize or powdercoast them they look sharp.

188, 888, 215 I believe were 302 Fords.
225, 233, 255 were 351 Fords.
A bellhousing from one of these should work just fine.
If you're going to put in a smallblock ford, remember that boats like torque. Go with a stroker.

don't do it man too much time and money put your trick 330ci fords together, and hope someone witha pair of 406 sbc doesn't swamp ya with his wake as he blows by. sbc are the least expensive motors to build period, don't go against the grain...plus when its time to trade up who you gonna sell the fords to?

I'm with Woody here. Seeeing something diffrent is always good if you ask me. It may be a little work but for some of us that is 90% of the fun. I sell most of my projects within 6 months of completion(and ussualy at a loss) but building em is most of the fun for me. If hes a Ford man I say go for it.

I have been using Fords for 15 years, Big Blocks only though. Rigging a cigarette as we speak. I have just completed a bellhousing for the big Fords to utilize the Transom perch of a bravo. It was expensive so if you can find the appropiate Merc bellhousing you have saved yourself a lot of $.

i was always told that fords have lame head designs, small ports and small valves. i look at the parts books and ford stuff is always a lot more expensive than chevy parts. why is that?
