liteweight batteries

Im looking for new batteries this year. I would be pushing my luck to keep mine for the sixth year. So who makes a good liteweight battery? You have to shave every pound you can.

Re: liteweight batteries

I think the Optimas are the lightest for the money. Anything lighter is going to be ultra-expensive aviation stuff. The Optimas seem to work well, although you get much less A-H rating for the same CCA rating. They don't hold as strong of a charge as Lead Acid, but they don't go totally flat either.

Optima 34M : 38.4 lb, 50A-H, 800 CCA

Check out www.1st-optima-batteries.com. They offer low prices and free shipping.
