Default Painting a Fountain Windscreen

Has anyone else successfully painted their fountain windshield? I really want the race fairing but way to much $$ - So an inexpensive way to obtain the same look is to white out the stock windscreen. Anyone have any good pics - and would you recommend this? ('99 35 Classic)

use white vinyl.. a sign shop can do it. you can remove it later if you want.

I saw a boat done with white vinyl. The guy took the windshield apart and the graphics company used a measuring device and a computer cutting device to cut the pieces to fit perfectly. He also brought a few samples of various "shades of white" to the boat...it's amazing how many shades of white there are. Perfect fit and finish. Looks great@!@!

I painted mine on my Velocity 6 years ago with Algrip. No problems, no chips no pealing. Looks much better then the smoked plexi.
