Boat Cover
Hope some one can help. I had seen an advertisement for a very light weight full cover that was made out of parachute like material. I am looking for this company I remember the add
having a girl in a bikini holding the cover in a bag. If any of you know the company web site I would greatly appreciate a link. Thanks |
Re: Boat Cover
i ordered a similar cover last year from another place. It was half the cost and i was pretty impressed by the quality.
Paid under $450 shipped for a full cover for a 35' boat. i got the TYPE 4 in the grey 6.5oz Polyester material. Also got the vents to let it breath. http://www.websweeper.com/php/boat_covers/bc-semi.php |

However, I would call John at sunrise Upholstry. He custom made a cover for my TG for less than the Carrie Covers. The workmanship is 100% top notch. Plus he is an OSO brother. www.sunriseuph.com |
Re: Boat Cover
I got samples from Carrie Covers .....the lite one is unbelievably thin ...so thin you can see thru it ..kinda like wax paper ....

Has anyone bought a boat cover from carriecovers.com over the internet. Check out the website and let me know what you think about the material - I am a little skeptical. It seems a little too lightweight and I was wondering how it would hold up during trailering and as a full time mooring cover while my boat sits outside on the lift.
I would be buying the Hydro-Shield material |

I purchased a cover from carrie cover last year (April) for my 382 and it was very expensive. It works well protecting from the sun and keeps the water out however it is not for trailering and I am not very pleased with how it fits. Not so custom for a custom cover and I would look else-were next go around.

I have had one for 2 years and am happy with it. Mine didn't fit the way I would like when I first purchased it and I called and explained how I wanted it changed and they did so. Service was fast and free. It does become sunfaded, but still protects the boat from the uv rays.

I have a Carrie mooring cover for my 38' Fountain. Had it custom made to go all the way under the hull sides so no sunlight on the fiberglass. It was expensive. Agree with JB and Chuck that the fit is less than what I expected for "Custom", but assumed it was because I added all that extra length to the sides and back. Customer service was good and the cover has held up very well (almost 2 years to date). Mine is black and I haven't noticed any fading, but my boat sits in a covered slip that gets very little direct sun. HTH.
