Bravo differences

I was in process of putting my LU on and i ran into a snag, as usual the town i live in dose not have the parts in need. I need a gear shift latch for the gear selector cable. I ordered it and it will be in Tue. I have another question, i set my old lower mid section and upper gear case next to my looks new one. i noticed that there is allot of difference in the two almost 4 inches in length. can some one here tell me the difference. the SN on the old drive is oF263167 IT COMES BACK AS A 94 BRAVO ONE 1.36 ORIGINALLY REGISTERED OUT OF MIAMI. Will this other one fit on my midsection. it is longer and the nose protrudes in front about 2 inches further. It this a high speed lower?

The lower on the right looks like a '89 or older. Is the Serial on the upper? that may be newer than the lower. I think it will bolt on.

Re: Bravo differences

the serial number is on the upper on the one on the right. I was told i have a 1.36 to one drive. The drive on the right had a skeg that was almost totally gone. welded a chunk on filled it and painted it. I have another set of gears for a upper gearcase but i do not know what they are either. So in other words it is nothing special?
