Steering block

Looking how to tie in BOTH engines into my power steering.
Currently only the port motor runs the fluid for steering.
Starboard still has the pump there and hooked up, just reroutes back into itself.

What would I need to run both?
Reason is if the port motor runs out of gas or dies I am steeringless :(

trust me when I say my port motor runs more gas then the other. With prices this season I know ahead of time I will not be full on gas very often.

Re: Steering block

My Advantage is the same way. I am putting in IMCO HK4 full Hyd steering soon and that will fix it. I believe that you will need a distribution block to keep the two pumps seperate, haven't seen one for non hyd steering though.

Re: Steering block

Thanks LHC.
I was told there is.
I have partial Hydro steering. At least external rams.
Want for helm back butthe $$ is not there at this time.
I know the Distribution block is needed, just looking to see who what and where on them.

Sorry about not understanding your original post. I was thinking that Imco may have what ya need or can direct ya. There are other steering mfgs out there, who made your assisst? Maybe call or email them.

Re: Steering block

Mercury/Mercruiser offers a proportioning block to allow use of both PS pumps. Call your local Merc Dealer for the kit. Ed :D
