The vacumn test will tell you if there is a restriction, collapsed fuel line, clogged filter or bad anti-syphon valve. You can also pressure test the system to see if you're sucking air anywhere. Fuel pump pressure should be checked with a pressure guage.

Thats not a bad Idea .I guess it would tell ya Like if a steel braided hose is going bad collapsing restricting flow?

Question it there any fuel pumps create enough vacuum to give a false reading on the vacuum gage?
