Supercharger Question: MEFI3 vs MEFI4 Whipple Mag 454
 

Question... I am new to this and have been doing my homework (i think anyhow) and have decided to go with a Whipple Supercharger on a '98 Formula Fastech 271 with single 454 Mag MPI engine, Bravo I. I think I'm making the right choice... right?

The question is this... Whipple's curves and program is for the MEFI3 (this boat has a MEFI2 in it) so they're suggesting I purchase a MEFI3. Arizona Speed & Marine is suggesting I use their curves and go with a MEFI4. What do I do? Pros and cons of each? Anyone do either with good/bad results? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Also, depending on if I go with a MEFI 3 or MEFI 4, anyone know where I can get one relatively inexpensive? It's going to be reprogrammed anyhow, right?
