bravo upper housing

My buddy blew his upper on a bravo one. Where is the best place to purchase a used housing for a late model bravo one. His boat is a 2002 Baja 302 w/ 496's.
Thanks,
Mat

Re: bravo upper housing

Has he priced a new complete drive vrs the parts to repair his upper and have the lower checked?

I hit a rock and tore off my lower unit, taking parts with it. It was only a couple $100 more for a brand new in the box, zero hr, 1 yr warrenty, complete drive from BAM than what the parts and labor would have been to replace my lower. And then I still would have had my 300 hr upper. It was a no brainer, buy complete and new. Sold my upper for $800, the remaining lower for $125. Ended up ahead of the game since Ins. paid for the new drive. Just a thought.

I've seen several go through Ebay, lately! Key in Mercruiser or Bravo 1
