Dania is probably a little closer to my house. I don't know how far Steve's house is to ocean access, but my house is right across the bay from Haulover Inlet. Probably 5 minutes to the ocean via Haulover. It would be a 15-20 minute run on your boat to the action from there. I know Steve has a lift at his house. I do not yet have a lift. I have been in the permitting process for 1 1/2 yrs for a new dock and lift. Should be another couple of weeks for the permits to come through I am told. Hopefully I'll have my lift within the next couple of months. Call me if you want the dock.

Thanks Frank. Ill call you and let you know my intentions on Monday. Im just concerned about the traffic and trying to get a cab from Steves to the hotel and back. I see pics of the crowds and wonder if It would be better to stay south to avoid the road traffic. Steve is North of Shooters by a few miles 1/2 way between Hillsboro Inlet and Shooters. You locals could give me a better idea of how transportation will be around town.

Hey guys
I've been out in the new boat 3 times.
We have had a few issues with it, that have to be addressed.
Tomorrow we will splash once again an see what we have.
I would like to get in a few races if we can this year, but I need
some seat time in this boat before we go out on the race course.
They say the twin steps are a little hairy in the turns in race situation.
I will keep you all abreast of whats happening

Smart thinking Steve. I wish you and your son the best when you do get to hit a race. I sure wish I had the oppertunity to race when I was Bobby's age. See you next week
